So begins another quiet evening! The Sun is still shining beautifully although I am pretty sure that it is not too long until another stunning sunset emerges. The world is a beautiful place to live! Planet Earth belongs to us the human race and I suppose we are all Kings of this huge domain! I only wish that ageism did not exist so that I could go on living and breathing in order to see the future with all its new technological advances.

In my own little niche I have found comfort and solace! I am a man of peace and I like all those little, beautiful things like watching a rose slowly develop, noticing the dew come early morning and experiencing the wonderful fresh air as I venture out into the garden. For me my garden is a true haven, a place of escape, a place of solitude, somewhere I can forget everything and just exist.

Removing my shoes and socks and allowing my feet to slowly caress the cool grass, that is nice, pure indulgence. Forgetting about time and suddenly noticing a hedgehog as it slowly crawls along its chosen route, one side of the garden to the other! Who knows how long it will take the little fellow but in its own mind it is getting on with its own thing not knowing any different.

Wildlife and nature slowly caresses my internal buttons leading to sheer bliss and relaxation. I love this world! I love my world! I choose not to be a so called Rat in something called "The Rat Race!" Everyone rushing around, pulling their hair out, trying to meet a timeline or target, I mean who needs that?

Life is to be enjoyed and savoured rather than endured and tolerated. Surely life was meant to be a whole lot more than this.

City life is not for me with its dirty streets and polluted air, skyscrapers and overflowing rubbish bins, no thanks! Gardens and lakes and mountain ranges, these I adopt and accept as my close allies and friends. My heart expands and indulges in these visions and dreams and longs for them day in day out.

Money should grow on trees! Has anyone invented a money tree yet? How would that work? With more of the green stuff the sky's the limit!

I love animals! Having a dog of my own to love and caress and give comfort to, that makes me smile. Sitting in my armchair on a cold winter's night holding Fido in my arms, me staring into his eyes as he slowly shows his love by getting all sloppy and licking my face, yes please! Just me and Fido and a real log fire. A cup of tea alongside or perhaps something stronger. Two or three favourite books on a side table and I am comforted and content. Life could go on at a pleasurable pace with these home comforts.

Feeling misunderstood well that is fine! Life goes on. Yes, the world we live in isn't so bad! "Come Fido! I think it's time we hit the sack! Let's see what we can create tomorrow."
