The claim by Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen that Trump used racist language before he was elected President should not be a shock to anyone. Trump has form. His actions in the past and his associations point you to the conclusion that this man is a racist. Look at the evidence.

In his previous job as a property developer, Trump was taken to court for racial discrimination. He refused to allow Black people to live in his apartments. His father, Fred Trump, was alleged to have been a member of the Klu Klux Klan, not an organisation based on diversity and integration. This is where racism starts, in the home, around the dinner table and in the living room. You listen to the converations of your parents and those around them.

Donald Trump may not have invented the Birther claim about Barack Obama, but he took the issue and ran with it. Basically, he was trying to say Obama had no right to be President. How dare this n-word sit in the White House? He's not even born here! His one time butler, Anthony Senecal, a man who is a staunch Trump supporter, made clear his hatred for Obama on Facebook. He could not have worked for Trump for years without hearing those views in private. This is the man who now sits in the Oval Office.

Trump's comments about "shithole" countries and his insulting remarks about Mexicans speaks volumes about who he is. The White Nationalists and the Alt-Right love him. I wonder why.

I have to wonder about the mentality of people like Ben Carson who serves in Trump's cabinet or Omarosa Manigault who was happy to serve in his White House as a staffer. Who were they thinking? Kanye West lost all credibility as an artist when he publicly backed Trump.

I am certain that there are tapes from the reality show The Apprentice that contain Trump making racial slurs about various races. Fair play to Tom Arnold in his quest to find them. I suspect that they will never be found.

In the Oval Office, there sits the bust of Martin Luther King, the great civil rights leader. What would Dr King say to Donald Trump if he were alive today?
