Writing is supposed to bring out the emotion in people. It's supposed to be the baseline to the creative images you see in your mind while you read. So if I've made you feel some type of emotion today, then I feel accomplished.

Darren Scanlon was born in 1965 and lives in the Northwest of England. A typical 'northern lad', his sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek humour and writing style has earned him 5 Star Ratings on Amazon for both his novels and his poetry which he has been writing since the age of 18 and is published on websites including High On Poems where he has achieved much success and great reviews:

His work to date includes his debut comedy novel called Hey Up, Matron! He is currently working on his latest novel, Way Back When, which is a comical look at childhood now and back in the 1970’s and how life has changed. Future projects are book 3 of Danny Roberts, an illustrated children’s poetry collection and another illustrated ABC book.

I'm a lover of writing, a lover of talking and an even bigger lover of drama-filled stories that don't involve me, but aren't we all!

Finding time to write has been tough, but it's too ingrained to stop now. The problem is going back to finish works I started three years ago while the shiny new thing jumps up and down and screams my name.
