The animated studio that did the work for the PBS Kids cartoon Word Girl closed earlier this month. Word Girl is a parody of Superman and Batman according to several website sources. Soup 2 Nuts was the studio that did produce the cartoon that will probably end after eight seasons of shows. The only hope is that Scholastic that is the creator of the characters can find another studio that will continue the adventures of a young girl who came from the planet Lexicon as an infant as she went aboard a spaceship that was piloted by space monkey Captain Huggyface. Okay so Word Girl is not a household super hero like the D C Comics and Marvel roster of super heroes since she teaches kids and adults the meanings of words since her creator Dorothea Gilliam created the character based on her childhood experiences. Hopefully Scholastic will find another animated studio that will carry on the adventures of our heroine and her monkey sidekick. If not I will continue doing her fan fictions with her cousins Donna and Debi Isthmus who are nicknamed The Bad Girls Of The Isthmus since they spent their first nine years in the city of Portobelo Panama with their alien parents from Lexicon Jacqueline and Ronnie. The former is a part time heel wrestler patterned after the late Lillian Ellison also known as The Fabulous Moolah of pro wrestling fame and the latter was a former Major League Baseball pitcher with the New York Yankees organization before he "retired" to become a gym teacher at Woodview Elementary where he teaches the students at the school the cool way to get into physical condition. I know that not all of the good clean humor cartoons can stay on the air forever except in reruns. Thank you Soup 2 Nuts. I had a great time riding on your train. Until we meet again.
