She isn't agoraphobic but rarely leaves home.
Her ex-boyfriend won't leave her alone.
She reported the harassment to the local police.
They brought him in but soon he was released.
She bought herself a gun.
No more will she hide or run.

Another tormented person is barricaded in a seedy motel.
They feel their life has totally gone to hell.
They've tried everything but never feel well.
It's time for the end but repayment must come first.
The boss who fired him should satisfy some thirst.
Then there's the ex-wife who brought this all on.
He was doing pretty well until he came home and found her gone.

The hunters return home happy with their kill.
They recount many tales of their skill.
One forgets to lock up his tools.
A child takes it to school.
While showing the others, it accidentally goes off.
The parents protect their child while others scoff.

Many scenarios precipitate harm.
We can't always know when to sound the alarm.
Taking away guns is not necessarily the lucky charm.
We need to become people who vow to do no harm,
but there will always be those who feel there's only one way.
It seems everyone just needs to put their guns away.
