Maybe you’d be better off
Swallowing another’s love
I hope I never see the day

One summer
You sat back, raised
Arms baked
Legs spread apart like you wanted
Me open,
There
And then

Chocolate skin
Slipping into summer’s drip
Your eyes a fountain uprising from the darkness
Behind you,
I caught myself melting

Sponge filled lips
Stubborn,
It would take the world to make you
Smile
I waited patiently in the shadows
While your nut glazed eyes carefully trickled into light

A sweet delicacy
Brown sugar frosting
For my iced eyes only
I didn’t wish to share you with the sun,
I wished to keep you here in the
Shadows with
Me and my lover lonely

But I knew that day would depart
And your legs would close
Your skin would fade back into my
Pale wrap
Eyes would cast into beads

Luckily the sun shone for a little longer
And while I had you
I stretched out my cold, creamy limbs
To caress yours,
Unexpected as always –
You tilted your pretty head
And smiled
