Stop trying to be a living stereotype of what you are ‘supposed’ to be and show some raw emotion and vulnerable imperfections.
Stop trying to impress, life isn’t a performance to gain a part in someone’s life, please stop acting for an audition that’s not even taking place.
Stop trying to be so put together that you think about every word you say, and every sentence your words make before they leave your mouth, and instead just speak your honest thoughts without filtering before submission. Just feel the words you say, and mean the words you say.
Stop all this and please oh please just be genuine!
Be genuine with your words, and your actions;
be genuine when you smile and when you laugh,
with your feelings and your secrets.
All I want is for people to be genuine; about themselves, about everything.
It would help me out a lot.
I’m discovering as of late that I’m finding it increasingly difficult to paint a picture of who people really are;
and I’ve never even been good at painting in the first place.
