One day I was going to COSTCO to buy some thing on the way there I went the back way to find an address for a birthday party my grandson was going to.As I was driving I saw a plastic 55 Gal. Drum on the side walk that said FREE on it so I stop at the parking lot and I told a man man I want the plastic DRUM do you have any more of them ?? HE said yes we get them all the TIME when we get olive to Press into olive oil we make it here so YOU KNOW it good and if it VIRGIN OLIVE OIL or not... I said what's the Difference in the three olive oils I know EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL is the BEST.. HE said YES it's from the first PRESSING of the OLIVES then VIRGIN olive Oil on the second pressing and olive oil on the 3 rd. pressing of the Olives... I said I always wounder about that Thanks for telling ME in fact I was going to buy some at COSTCO he said ours is better come in and try some and YOU will buy are EXTRA VIRGIN Olive Oil so I went In side and tried some and in fact I bought two bottles it was GooD... Then I ask if he had three more plastic DRUMS he said yes we have more then that...If YOU need them He said he did not like taking them to the RECYCLING center and I know some people will want them after the word gets out ware to get them....
So I said I want two for now and I will come back for two more of the I make things out of them ....He said WHAT DO YOU MAKE??/ I said BI-PLANES for kis to play in and Wishing WELLS for your front yard I call the things I make YARD ART I made a few things out of OAK Wine BARRELS but the Plastic Drum would make it Easier to make things it would be less work... He said he would like to see what I make so I told him I would bring him some pictures to show him when I came back for more plastic Drums..So we load one in the trunk of my car and one in the back set and I left... A few days went by and I told my 4 and 1/2 year old GRANDSON for my BIRTHDAY DAYNE we will make "'YOU an AIR PLANE to play in I made one for your MOM to play in when she was your age it will be fun and YOU can help DAYNE so lets go down to the car port and make YOU a new toy to play In.. So we went down stairs and began working on a BI-Plane... I stood up the Barrel and took a level and marked out two slots so I could slide the two wings in them then one slot in the back for the rear wing and the set then I drilled a hole in each slot then I took a jig saw and cut the slots out there are 6 slots to cut out then I cut some plywood for the WINGS and the rear wing & the set ..The two front wings are 10" wide and 48" long the rear wing is 10" wide and 36" long then I slip them in the slots and put two screws in them to hold the in place then I cut a 2 x 4 x 8" long To look like the wheels under the wings this makes the BI-PLANE rock back and fouth as kids play in them...
Then we cut a 1 x 4 x 26" long for the propeller then I cut a tail 12" wide and 24" tall for the tail of the BI-PLANE then I took my jig saw and cut the bottom of the tail to look like a wheel at the bottom of the tail then I scewed it on then I got out some white paint and told DAYNE TO PAINT THE WINGS but DAYNE said he wanted to get in and play with it FIRST so I said O.K. DAYNE SAID I wish I had my GUN so I can shoot other air planes ... So I said I will cut one out of plywood for "'YOU"' DAYNE and you can paint it when YOU paint the wings he said O.K. gram-pa I will as soon as you are done... So I cut a GUN out of plywood while he played in his NEW BI-PLANE then I told DAYNE TO GET OUT Of The BI-PLANE so I could screw the GUN IN so dayne got out and I screw it in with one screw so it could turn side to side he liked that then DAYNE began to paint the wings white this hole project took us 4 hours to do and we did it together and DAYNE will remember this for a long , long "'TIME"' maybe even when he is a grown up and makes one for his kids,, I hope so we had a lot of fun making this one and It may be around when he grows up I'm going to put it in my front YARD calling it YARD ART next we are going to make a VIKING SHIP With a DRAGON HEAD and tail on it... Go on CRIGS LIST and see if YOU can find some PLASTIC 55 Gal. DRUMS and make a BI-PLANE for your KIDS or GRAND KIDS they will enjoy them for a long "'TIME"' JOLINE my oldest kid remember her BI-PLANE and she is 30 years old and she remember painting the WINGS with a STAR on them....A memary that will last a life "'TIME"'.........

I make Wishing WELLS,, TRAINS & the Train cars and now a Race CAR what will I think of NEXT...When I went back to get some more Plastic Drums a few months later and show the man what I make out of them there was a barrel on the side walk that said $25.oo dollars each the man was now saling the plastic barrels they where on longer FREE he said he gets a little bit more for the barrels then if he took them to the RECYCLE CENTER he was right as soon as people found out where to get the Plastic Barrels people would pay for them so I showed him the picture of what I made and he said he wanted me to make him a BI-PLANE for his GRAND KIDS and a Wishing WELL for his wife and he would trade me for 4 plastic 55 Gal. Drums.........I said ^ plastic Drums and two bottles of EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL how about that for a deal and YOU have to give me two Plastic Drum so I can make your BI-Plane & Wishing Well ??? He said YOU GOT A "'DEAL"' lets load them Up....
