1. Abortion. This is a woman's decision to make and no one, especially a man, should dictate to her what she does with her body. I don't believe employers or the government (better to read this as tax dollars) should foot the bill for it. The issue of abortion has been folded so deeply into the term "women's health" that I am afraid many don't understand why there's a need to make a distinction. It might be a part of women's health, but it is not women's health.

2. Minimum wage. I honestly get it. It's been a while since the US seriously reviewed the minimum wage. However, the problem is how workers are thinking about making a living. Let's think about this logically. Employment at a fast food restaurant (I only mention this because this seems to be where the crux of this conversation lands) won't allow anyone to truly make a living. This job is mainly for individuals who either have no financial responsibilities, like high schoolers, or who are merely supplementing their income, like those with unforeseen expenses. It's not for anyone who expects to sustain or be self-sufficient. For that, a job paying well above minimum wage or a second job is necessary. Asking to be paid more is not the answer. To make more money, it takes getting a job that pays more money. Simple, right. Additionally, and this absolutely mesmerizes me, when starting a new job, isn't it standard practice to sign paperwork with the wages printed in black and white? In that case, it's disclosed before work starts. Get the point?

3. Student loans. This, too, is very simple. Please stop asking to have loans forgiven or for free education. Signing a contract, regardless of how much the interest rate is, binds the borrower to the lender for that amount of money. Public education was the free education. Eighteen-year-olds are adults, and, sadly, entering the adult world means maintaining a certain amount of financial responsibility. Actually, it means being responsible, period. Are we really going to ask taxpayers to pay a little more so adults can skip adulting? I don't buy the whole "Lenders took advantage of us" excuse for wanting a rehaul of educational expenses. Hey, you buy it, you pay for it :D Seriously, are we going to do the same for mortgages and car loans next?

4. Religion. No...CHRISTIANITY! Please stop using it to declare homosexuality a sin or to show how transgender individuals are abnormal. Here's the thing -- and please forgive me for using your own religion/bible against you -- the bible says 1. All things are possible through Him and 2. Lean not unto your own understanding. In case it's still foggy: Just because you can't understand it doesn't mean it's not possible. Everything is possible (including multiple genders beyond just male and female) through God. In other words, God is capable of creating genders that humans, little mosquito-bitten humans, dog-loving humans (Sorry, got carried away with the name calling) can ever comprehend. Limiting God only diminishes His powers, His wonder. Stand in awe and not disgust of His wonders. You are a witness and a servant, not a judge or a redeemer.
