Move up and on and drive to thrive;
Do more than simply survive
but always express gratitude for just being alive.

Be grateful for the basic things;
Appreciation is the song all joyful people sing.

On the days when this is difficult, you may find your groove,
by going outside for a walk--there's so much beauty from which to choose--
And immersing yourself in nature, I daresay, can often remove
sadness, or at least provide respite that behooves
an uplift of some sort--something I believe we can readily prove.

It's both the positive and negative that pushes us to go on,
so accept the ups and downs that are drawn.
If we persevere, we'll eventually bellow out our best song
and find exactly where it is we belong.

Laugh each day or at the very least, smile.
These activities can help all the while
and allow you to march steadfastly through every mile
whether the road is smooth, cobbled, or replete with dirt piles.

Listen to the music that makes you dance,
that inspires you to kick up your heels and prance,
leads you to that about which you can rant
and induces you to be fulfilled and perform your best chant.
