I feel like I just want to close my eyes and sleep! Last night was yet another sleepless night what with the warmth and the heat, this just makes any kind of kip extremely difficult. So, here I sit contemplating the once in a while task of having to defrost my fridge freezer. Don't you just hate this chore? I wish I had one of those frost free freezers. Still, the consequences of not getting on with it means that I suffer the loss of food especially milk as the temperature becomes imbalanced!

This time round I have been extremely lazy with this particular task! The ice has literally built up to such an extent that I am struggling to open the freezer door. The freezer is more like an ice box, one where you pull the lid towards you and down. If I force it I will probably end up breaking the freezer door. Still, the job has to be done and it is not something that I place high up there on a Sunday morning.

I think I shall have to get a little creative and think about how I can make the experience that much more enjoyable. Maybe I can grab my ipod and tune into one of my favourite meditation tracks as I focus on the monotonous task of collecting the melting ice and then mopping the floor of spilt ice water. The task at hand may take at least an hour if not longer. I would much rather escape into a good book than defrost the freezer. I would much rather be getting on with the task of boiling my two eggs using my egg boiler machine; there's nothing like a couple of eggs for breakfast in the mornings to secure your protein fix!

Well, it always gets to the point where something just has to be dealt with. Once I have done this I shall mellow out and enjoy my Sunday peacefully. I wonder if there's a chance of me winning a lottery sweepstake with the prize ultimately being a frost free freezer! A man can live in hope! Well, I'd better make a start and reach for that ipod and that hairdryer. Hairdryer? Well yes, that's what I am going to use to quickly melt the ice. Of course I shall have to remove all the food and cover it with newspaper then things suddenly become a ticking time bomb as I race to get the job done as quickly as possible in order to prevent the food from defrosting and becoming all soft and squidgy, yuck!

I sincerely hope your Sunday is far more interesting than mine!
