We're surrounded by motivational speeches, motivational quotes, motivational books that tell us not only that we should become better, but also that we should become The Best at what we do. Yet I wonder if being the best is the right path to happyness. Trying to be the best (or even trying to be a better version of ourselves) means never being content with what we have, never feeling satisfied, complete, whole. And this continuous dissatisfaction leads to a perpetuous state of restlessness which is the opposite of the interior calm required to a mind at peace with the world.
Mediocrity is a value that should be preserved and revitalised, for only in that we can find a true balance and a truly peaceful state of mind.

Do you share my feeling? Do you know any blog or magazine that talk about that?
