Every now and then i stumble across one
of these but it's never up for grabs, it's
always spoken for which means i can't
have it. I've been digging for years you
can tell from the dirt under my finger nails
when i layed eyes on this one i knew that
it was rare.

You can spot her from blocks away, the
sun glorifyes her shape when she pass
you have to double take, pretty smile with
a baby face i was stuck in the maze and
missed her because i was late.

Just met her a few months ago and I'll
never for get her face, if you catch all
the metaphors then you understand
what I'm saying and recognize I'm not
playing.

You're a diamond in the rough, like a
rainbow after nasty weather, you're a
sight for my sore eyes I'm just trying
to keep it together you probably think
that i'm lieing i can hear you, saying
whatever! They gon ask who i wrote
this for don't worry I'll never tell'em.

To my diamond in the rough that shine in bad weather.
