I wrote a piece awhile back called "Donnas Bananas."... Momma Donna. Love her
DELETED!
Still love her and that beautiful dead looking, banana tree. I saw a picture of that banana tree when I was writing one day, write here. Pain still fresh and missing the peace that tree brought me.
Thought it to be that same banana tree from my lost "Job" for a brief moment. I watered that tree. I fed that tree. That dead looking banana tree ALWAYS fed me.
It never grew bananas til I started working there. They still weren't edible though.
What's that say about me?
Nothing really.
In Panama the first time, little did I know... somehow I had inadvertantly helped start a banana plantation! A family run business. With an UNCONDITIONAL gift.... small trinket of gold jewelry. I told them to use as they saw fit. Keep it or buy food. Didn't matter. Noriega days.
They apparently bought seed!
"Tanka Negro" was the beginning of that true story...the Moreno family. LOL....TRUE!!!!
God showed me on the second time around that there are reasons for everything.
On my return they, the Morenos, didn't recognise me for the weight I'd gained... BUT once the "GORDA" jokes were over, ( I somehow managed to not cry) the OVERWHELMING thank you's began.
I am still humbled. Their small family village now boasted with banana trees. Apparently thanks to that small trinket. A bracelet gifted to one of their daughters.
But for the grace of God do we see.... full circle come to be.
So Donna....Thanks for the bananas...you included! (your'e SO NOT bananas)
Please don't be offended!!!!!
Love always.
