Crackling bacon or a blossoming rose...
It's difficult to assess which one is more appealing to my nose.
A garden full of hyacinths is the floral scent I most adore,
but being a foodie, the aromas of the kitchen may please me even more.
Yes, there I find aromatherapy galore!

And when the love of flowers conjoins with whatever I chose to cook,
an explosion of splendour overcomes my little nook.
Lavender, mint, and garlic amidst baking bread,
delectable edible petals--oh, there's swirling in my head!

Relishing all the beauty I perceive,
softens the blows of the things that make me grieve,
but I find particular comfort in agreeable smells--
They can stimulate or relax, as well as blur memories of many hells.

Self-soothing is an important skill to develop,
so one should search for and then envelop
whatever helps them placate,
and allows them to remain in a positive state.
Succulent scents will always be my favoured running mate.
