In the concluding sixth Strategic Dialogue between US and Pakistan in Washington (March 01, 2016); both countries emphasized the importance of immediate peaceful and meaningful resolution of Kashmir issue. In a joint statement issued it was stressed the need to reduce tensions and to demonstrate honest and sincere will to solve all outstanding issues including Kashmir as per the wish of Kashmiri people.

India’s NDTV reported (October 25, 2015) Lt General Satish Dua, commander of 15 Corps emphasizing that” Interest in ISIS is on the rise in Kashmir as more locals Join militants fighting the army”. The continued military presence turns Indian occupation into graveyards galore and at the same time India with a clear intent sends messages to international community that Kashmir is becoming a hotbed of ISIS brand of Islam. India believes that world power’s naivety or the economic interests would leave them no option but to justify India’s Kashmir occupation.

General Dua added that “a synergized effort is being made by all the security agencies to control the trend”. Interestingly enough, the political hierarchy in Delhi maintains that the Islamic State has no significant presence in India.

It is reported that six Indians have already been killed in Syria fighting for Islamic State. Professionals like Engineers, chartered accountants, and medical staff have been stopped at various airports traveling to join ISIS. The Indian intelligence agencies have suggested that at least 20 Indians are also among the ISIS fighters in Iraq and Syria at present.

Indian defense minister Manohar Parrikar, in a statement, stressed the point that "terrorists" will be neutralized through terrorism. "Why should our soldiers have to do it” Parrikar added. Referring to Kashmiri youth fighting Indian army; Parrikar said “they (Kashmiri youth) will be dealt with pro-actively”.

Ibnlive.com in a report from London (Feb 25, 2016) revealed that seven Indian companies under government issued licenses supplied components for explosives to ISIS. A study of European Union showing great concern suggested that more needs to be done to track the flow of chemicals and other such items to the terror group (ISIS).

The Conflict Armament Research (CAR) expressed that among various other countries including India supplied and sold over 700 components to ISIS to build improvised devices (IEDs). Indian companies manufactured and supplied most of the detonators, detonating cords and safety fuses; CAR's executive director James Bevan is reported to have stated.

The political analysts believe that India with the help of some ‘powers’ on international level tried its level best spending billions to further escalate tensions and widen the gap between the Christian west and the Islamic world. India reckons to make a political mileage by funding and extending military help to the conspiracy referred to as ISIS or DAESH on the one hand and on the other sending out feelers that ISIS is the common international enemy. Ironically, India even offers its military help to fight DAESH if UN adopts a resolution.

In order to create political confusion internationally, India sees fulfillment of multi-purpose benefits; in particular to put a lid on all its domestic political problems. The various uprisings within India like Christian belt of north-east, Moa rebels, Naxalites, Assam, Dalits, Khalistan, poverty and soaring population explosion making it impossible for Modi government to find solutions for.

The ruling BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) after landslide victory in the last elections became a pawn in the hands of its off-shoot fundamentalist forces who unleashed a ruthless campaign to suppress minorities in the name of “beef ban”, forcible mass conversions to Hindu religion, and anti Muslim-anti-Christian sentiments. Modi’s government received heavy criticism from within the country and on international level as well. The fear psychosis created by the likes of Hindu extremist Rajeshwar Singh head of Dharm Jagran Manch who planned a conversion program and stated that “it plans to finish Islam and Christianity by 2021.

Congress politician heavy-weight Rahul Gandhi in a scathing attack accused Prime Minister Modi of releasing Pakistan from the “cage” as his party’s government in the past after Bombay attacks had managed to put the sworn enemy in fatally hopeless situation. It is on record that many Indian politicians, human-right activists, credible civil society members had accused Indian RAW (Research & Analysis Wing) for masterminding the attack on Bombay five star hotel and pin the blame on Pakistan.

Pakistan right from its inception was put on the back foot by India in the political gamesmanship. The war in 1965 won by Pakistan hands down was turned into a defeat by listening to “Friends, not Masters”; Pakistan in the war in 1971 was caught napping and ZA Bhutto inadvertently helped estranged Sheikh Mujib to hobnob with India to carve out an independent nation. Khalistan, a political reality and huge headache for India was offered a relieving effect by Prime Minister Benazeer Bhutto by handing over the files of Khalistan freedom fighters. The apex of all wars fought, Kargil was a total victory for Pakistan but again Prime Minister Sharif bartered it with his masters for some unknown reasons. Now Pakistan is faced with sponsored terrorism having many faces and is struggling to fight it.

Be it Bombay attacks, Parliament drama or even Pathankot dramatic climax India seems to thrive on fulfilling its agendas by hoodwinking International community depending on delaying tactics and overshadowing the real issues at hand. The world body needs to take notice of the dangerous political gamble that can cost the world cherished peace and harmony.
