I just wonder if the Los Angeles Clippers who are now the top draw in the Los Angeles basketball market have some kind of curse on them after they lost to the Portland Trail Blazers in six games of the first round of the NBA Western Conference playoffs last night in Portland Oregon.
Okay not having the services of Chris Paul and Blake Griffin did harm their chance of advancing in the playoffs to compete against the defending National Basketball Association champions the drum roll please the Golden State Warriors.
Paul what I know is one of the good guys in the league that will have to wait another year to have a chance to win first National Basketball Association championship ring. Paul broke his hand during the playoff series against the Trail Blazers.
Losing Paul and Griffin in the playoff series against the Trail Blazers would be like Batman and Robin out of action to face the Joker and his henchmen in a crucial battle.
I know if I were a Clippers fan the loss to the Houston Rockets blowing a three games to one lead in the 2014-2015 basketball season would be a huge blow to their fan base since they would have battled the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals instead of the Rockets who lost to the Warriors in five games in a best of seven series.
You know the rest of that story. The Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games in the NBA Finals in 2014-2015.
But then again I do remember when the Clippers were the butt of jokes when the Lakers were winning basketball games in Los Angeles during the Donald Sterling era.
Hang on there Clippers fans, it is always darkest before the dawn. It took the New Orleans Saints 43 years to win their first and only Super Bowl in 2009.
The dirty secret of the Saints franchise is that the Mercedes Benz Superdome was built on a former cementery ground back in the 1970s which led some of their fans to believe their team was cursed over their nickname being offensive to their Creator.
Sports fans do have a very crazy imagination sometimes. Oh by the way Captain America Civil War should get the humanoids to enjoy two iconic super heroes like Captain America and Iron Man to battle each other over the goverment wanting to watch over them. Oh I just heard Word Girl saying "When Krypton is restored and Superman returns to his home planet will I ever have a government agency watch over me."
