Some days are better than others.
Some days are equally grey.
Todays a bad one.
I had to force myself up about of bed.
I'm on vacation and i'm [supposed] to be stress free.
I swallow and drop the ball.
Don't waste today.
Another reminder i'm not a priority.
So, I made myself one.
I drove. and I drove some more.
Edinburgh Manor was pretty, but nothing I haven't already seen.
Walking up two flights of transparent stairs, I sat at the top. Taking it all in.
As I'm about to go back down. A grey cat comes walking up the stairs to visit me. He knew I needed a friend. He sat with me for over 10 minutes. He asked for nothing and just gave me the comfort I needed.
I said goodbye to my little friend and headed for the highway. Maybe i'd go home, 1 hour and 15 minutes away. Maybe i'd just drive some more.
Off to Tipton, Iowa. A suggestion from a friend.
Cliff sides, green trees, horses, lots of clouds.
Gps set for the farmhouse I came across an abandoned home. Next to it, a delapidated barn. Inside I felt like I time traveled. Orange, flowery sofa. brown table chairs. Old tube tvs. Broken lightbulbs and mason jars. Records, and a teddy bear.
Animal feces, and their owners on the roof.
I wondered what kind of people lived here.
Maybe a family.
Or maybe just an old drunken man.
A toilet chair with arms for all of his despair.
The house had been abandoned. everything] just left there.
I felt so uneasy in this house.
Upstairs just one bed.
Upstairs just one chair.
Who had lived here?
